Mindset- the way people look at things whether it's positive or negative.
Thesis:
How people have different outlooks on tough situations.
2 types of mindset:

•One's boss
•Yearbook
Linguistic Mode
-Targets verbal use, as well as written text
•Using a distinct play on words, exclamations marks, etc
Ex: When one is texting friends, one might be using incorrect grammar, or sometimes, may communicate strongly by use of emoji.

Spatial Mode
-How something is set up in order for the viewer to deliberately see and comprehend in a specific way
Ex: Two people walk down the hallway holding hands and may even be showing P.D.A which makes one assume that they are together, even if they have not verbally said they are.

Multimodal Project Homework (Tatiana Briscoe)
Multimodal Project
- Multimodal Text: is anything written that gives an illustration. Ex: writing, texting, social media, drawing, video games, and creating things.
- Linguistic Mode: is verbal. Ex: talking
- Visual Mode: something we see that catches our attention. Ex: billboards, television, words written in bold or CAPITAL LETTERS
- Aural Mode: sound Ex: music, instrumental, whispering, accents, and silence.
- Spatial Mode: the way things are arranged, organization. Ex: decorating, fungsway, distance between things.
- Gestural Mode: body language. Ex: posture, and facial expressions.
Reading the multimodal projects I learned that it's something we use and see everyday rather we actually know it or not we're reading, texting, watching t.v, creating banners, decorating for a party or on social media. Me writing this blog is a form of linguistic mode and Paulette's entry itself is linguistic and visual due to the highlighting and bold letters. #everydaylife
