Like many other groups, they started to imitate the songs of their favorite singers; just to mention a few, Led Zepellin, and The Beatles were some examples of great music that lead to the group's success. Mana, was one of the first groups to compose their own songs on the time where rock music wasn't trending.  In the early years of 1980's Sombrero Verde started to separate, after that Fher decided to make a new band. During that time, the greatest impact in the history of music occurred, Mexico was doing a movement to support the Spanish rock music and from there Spanish rock was not only made by Mexicans, but from Latinos.
Mana comes from the meaning of Polynesian "positive energy". Their name says it all. their music offers positivity and consciousness. during the beginning of their musical journey the group had their pros and cons. Their first album was a failure, but yet gain success a year after. The group members again were vanishing, yet others came to replace them. Mana, like any other artist have passed through times that made changes in their careers. Today Mana is recognized by not only the Latino community, but by the diversity of music listeners. They have gained success with their albums and the messages that their songs interpret. Mana is an example of success through dedication. Today they have many albums sold, and their concerts are always sold out. That only leaves the conclusion that they always offer their fans the best of their music.
